One week ago, the world-famous French fashion designer Simon Porte Jacquemus got married. The nuptial was held in the South of France, where Simon spent his childhood. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I use the word fairy tale, because this wedding cannot be described in any other way. Marco Maestri and Simon met four years ago and have been inseparable since their first date. This love really deserved a huge wedding.
Since I had the opportunity to follow the events on Instagram, I thought I would surprise the readers with a short report, in case anyone missed it:
The wedding took place on the square in front of Charleval's town hall, because the building wasn't big enough for the 240 guests. Dua Lipa was also among the guests in a transparent white Jacquemus dress. Simon was accompanied by his grandmother, whose dress was designed by her grandson for the big day.
They set a very long table for the guests on a road. At the end of this road is the house of Jacquemus's mother, whom he lost when he was 19 years old. But in this way, Simon was able to involve his mom a little in the celebration, which made the already happiest day even happier. If you look at the pictures taken at the dinner, you can see how the sky shined in thousands colours at sunset.
The grooms appeared in elegant suits, but the moment came in the early hours of the morning when Simon made his childhood dream come true and entered the private disco building for the wedding in a dazzling white wedding dress with a tulle veil. Then 100 other white dresses appeared and the whole crowd of guests danced all night in wedding dresses.
Another specialty was the cake, which, of course, was also designed by Simon. The small cakes were placed on a pyramid-like structure, and the couple stood on the top like a living cake topper. This was one of the most touching points of the event for me.
Simon and Marco! Congratulations! I wish you the happiest life together! Thank you for letting us witnessing this pure love!
